SingHealth Competency Framework for
Leadership and Healthcare Administration
Leadership development efforts have been ongoing in SingHealth for
many years. There is a need
to harmonise staff competencies and training across the SingHealth cluster.
In 2016, the HR departments from SingHealth’s hospitals and
institutions collectively developed the SingHealth Competency Framework for Leadership and
Healthcare Administration. The harmonised competency framework
aims to provide a structured and transparent development plan to ensure
systematic progression of staff across different job levels in
Generic Competencies (applicable to all staff):
- Communication Skills
- Interpersonal Skills
- Personal Effectiveness
- Problem Solving
Domain Specific Skills and Knowledge:
Respective domains (e.g. HR, Finance, Communications) identified and developed their respective functional competencies to further deepen domain competencies.
The Leadership Competencies serve to enhance leadership competencies at the self, team and organisational level.
